The Ahona collection features double-step bezels that frame each stone in two tiers of gold and extend the light effect beyond the diamond’s edge. Stepped forms exist in architecture to move light, and the same principle applies at this scale, with each tier picking up light at a different depth. A bezel also wraps the edge of the stone completely, and because the edge is the thinnest and most easily chipped part of a cut diamond, that frame protects it. The collection features rings that sit low against the finger and clear a coat sleeve, a drop lozenge earring or classic studs, diamond bracelets, and small pendants set at intervals along a chain, so the necklace lies flat against the skin.
